.NAME Domain Names

Started in 2001, the Dot NAME generic Top-Level Domain is the only one meant for personal sites only. These domains can be personal or fictitious names, aliases and/or other titles people are famous by. Initially, just 3rd-level registrations were possible, so if you wanted to order john.doe.name, you would have to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration process was loosened and 2nd-level registrations were also allowed. Existing third-level names remained functional.

Through our firm, you can buy your dot NAME domain for a time interval between one and ten years. You will have the chance to update the WHOIS info, to park your domain, to create Custom DNS records, etc. You can also transfer an already purchased domain to our firm if you get its EPP transfer code from the present domain provider and we will renew it when the transfer has been finished. There are no particular restrictions on who can grab a dot NAME domain, but in order to preserve the objective behind its establishment alive, the Registry organization may verify who the owner is and if there is no link between the owner and the actual domain, the registration might be challenged.

The dot NAME top-level extension is amongst the extensions that support internationalized domains, so we can also register a domain in any language at no further cost. In this way, your .NAME domain will be recognized in your country or area with the exact spelling in your native language.
